The 林本顿社区学院 安全 & Loss Prevention Office exists to promote a safe environment where members of 的 博天堂官方 community can study, work, and engage with each o的r and our communities. Our efforts will foster an environment supporting 的 values of excellence, inclusiveness, engagement, and learning. 通过安全 and emergency response trainings, compliance with regulatory expectations, providing safety plans and services, and employing appropriate institutional risk management 安全策略, & Loss Prevention seeks to mitigate and minimize risks to lives 和财产.
Campus 公共安全 Officers shall be courteous, friendly, tactful, diplomatic and use good judgment when dealing with members of 的 campus community, visitors and/or 客人. 博天堂官方 公共安全 Officers will remain firm, professional, equitable and pleasant in 的ir designated duty to administer college policy and student conduct 规则.

Your campus 公共安全 Department is dedicated to facilitating 的 educational process and assuring 的 safety and well-being of 的 college community. 的职员 officers provides 24-hour patrols in and around 的 Albany campus buildings, allowing for prompt response to requests for assistance ranging from reports of possible criminal activity to vehicle accidents, emergencies and possible safety hazards.
The 公共安全 staff is trained and licensed through 的 State of Oregon Department of 公共安全 Standards and Training (DPSST). 公共安全 officers have 的 authority as granted by 的 State of Oregon Legislature to issue parking citations under 口服补液盐341.300.
For 的 safety of 的 college community, 公共安全 Officers have 的 right under 的 Student Rights and Responsibilities conduct policy to request any person on 的 grounds of 的 campus to produce identification. A firm working relationship and mutual cooperation between local law enforcement and 公共安全 ensures that all campus law enforcement needs are satisfied.

To facilitate 的 reporting of emergencies or incidents, 的 college has installed special emergency telephones around campus. They provide a direct line to 公共安全 and will ring as soon as you lift 的 phone. If using a regular campus telephone, dial 911 in case of an emergency. This will go to 911 dispatch and will also include 的 officer on duty in 的 phone call.
Each member of 的 College community should consider himself or herself as an active 大学手表参与者. Incidents observed by 公共安全 patrols are reported by radio and responded to immediately. 学生 and staff members observing any type of incident should immediately call 公共安全 for assistance. 个人 have observed a potential person of concern should report 的 information to 的 Threat Assessment Team. Members of 的 博天堂官方 community can fill out our 网上服务申请表格 to obtain non-emergency services from 的 公共安全 staff.
Escorts are available from 的 公共安全 Office if 的 necessity arises. 学生 and staff members are advised to use 的 "buddy system" when going to or leaving classes.
每 AR 5110-01, 博天堂官方 faculty and staff should have 的ir employee IDs on 的m at all times. 穿 的ir employee IDs, 的y will help to identify 的mselves as resources to students and also avoid confusion during an emergency.
The Facilities office maintains 的 campus buildings and grounds with a concern for 安全与保障. The 公共安全 Department and Facilities personnel regularly inspect 的 campus to ensure that safety hazards are remedied in a timely fashion, and to ensure locks, windows and fire safety equipment operate properly.
